Further, it can lessen the stress, pain, struggle, and distraction and bring positivity and calmness to our daily life. That's why the Philippine Movie Press Club, Inc. (PMPC), seeing the importance of music, has given the music industry the accolade it deserves through the years. The club is honored to present the nominees for the PMPC 13th Star Awards for Music this year. Prime balladeer and concert king Martin Nievera and songwriter- composer, record producer Vehnee Saturno lead this year's awardees for Pilita Corrales Lifetime Achievement Award and Parangal Levi Celerio Lifetime Achievement Award. Araneta City kicks off the much-awaited return of the traditional Binibining Pilipinas activities at the City of Firsts with a Grand Santacruzan on Saturday, May 14, 2022. Moving on in the new normal, the Philippine Movie Press, Inc. (PMPC) has successfully pulled off a celebrity charity fun game last April 8, 2022, at Powerplay Badminton Center located at #24 Apo St., Quezon City. Dubbed the 6th PMPC Celebrity Badminton Tournament, this fund- raising project of the Club started in 2014 and it had a two-year hiatus in 2020-2021 due to the global health pandemic brought about by COVID-19. Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte led the celebrity guests who graced the much-awaited sports event. The lady mayor lauded the PMPC for its initiative in holding sports event after the pandemic. She also encouraged members of the entertainment media to avail of the various available services of the LGU such as affordable medical for QC residents and business loan for those who want to venture on startup businesses. Paolo Marcoleta from the office of Cong. Rodante Marcoleta also graced the event. Actress beauty queen Sarah Javier came in full force with her family.
