MRS. MAKATI, HEAVEN PENAFLORIDA IS DARLING OF THE PRESS FINALIST

Mrs. Makati, HEAVEN PENAFLORIDA  is one of the 3 finalists of the  Darling of the Press, a special award of the Mrs. Universe Philippines 2021. The two other  finalists are Mrs. Laguna, Monique Cantalejo  and Mrs. Rizal, Michelle Lucas.      Michelle was praised by the spectators  during the Talent Portion for her "Pasikat Na Baso" dance where the glass broke in her hand but the show must go on.   Definitely, Mrs. Makati Heaven Penaflorida , candidate no. 8 is the candidate to root for comes Mrs. Universe Philippines 2021 finals on October 9 at Okada Manila.

Born in Pasay City Manila, Grew up and raised from a well to do family in San Pedro Laguna. From her childhood years up to her early teens she already love dressing up and helping her parents in their family business. She was feeling on Top of the world as she thought she had everything. Loving parents, lots of friends and was doing really well in her studies. She had nothing else that she could ask for, However right after Graduating High school her father died, only then she realized that they become so poor and her family filed bankruptcy. Her dreams were shattered as she was supposed to start her college semester in Adamson University as a Mass Comm student. Her mother was almost blind due to her diabetes. At the age of 16 she had no choice but to find a job that can feed both of them. No house, No Food Nothing was left aside from her UNDYING HOPE. It wasn’t an easy road as no one believed or helped her. A kid that young couldn’t possibly do anything and haven’t even finished a semester in college. Good thing she had a thick face and had a few modeling stints for them to survive. It’s barely enough for them to live. Sometimes she would climb up the Makopa tree just to have something to eat. No electricity for almost a year and was even kicked out of the house they were renting because they don’t have money to pay for it but she continue holding on.

This POSITIVE ATTITUDE of hers became her weapon to drive all the obstacles away. She saw some classified ads in the Jobfinder newspaper looking for call center agents back in 2006. That’s where she had the idea that she could do this job. On her first try she was hired however when they heard that she was only 16 and just a High School Graduate she got turned down. Still she NEVER loosed hope and that’s how her career life started. Having a corporate job at 17, Becoming a Flight attendant, Tour guide and a Team Manager at a very young age this helped her gain a lot of experience that equipped her to more challenges in life but despite all that she never gave up and continued spreading the POSITIVE vibe to the people surrounding her. She then switched jobs to gain more experience and network. Heaven entered the world of real-estate and made up her way on becoming an office manager to an Executive Assistant for a private company.

At 25 Heaven was thinking of opening up her own enterprise. At first she was thinking of putting up a salon & spa since most women love to pamper themselves however she thought of the challenges that she might encounter if she pursue this business. This needs a lot of time to manage which is not ideal for her as she still has a fulltime job. Then she came up with the idea of selling clothes and Replica bags from the local market. Throughout her observation she wasn’t satisfied as there were too many competitions and it’s quite hard to stand out so she thought about it again and came up with another plan that’s when she arrived to her idea of Building her own brand for an Ecommerce Business. It was quite overwhelming as it’s not easy to start from scratch but then again Heaven believed JUST KEEP BEING POSITIVE and WORK HARD everything will fall into place. Along came up her company name AFFNIQCHIC Boutique which means Affordable, Unique and Chic. This represents the items that she is selling in her shop. Her showroom is like a dream walk-in closet. Most items are imported and some are her own design.

The style is mostly Korean modern look which is targeted for career women. Chiffon, Lace and Satin are the most commonly used material and is focused on using basic colors like black, white, red and nude. Aside from clothes her shop also sells bags, shoes, accessories and undergarments that women typically use. They also do free styling for clients who don’t know how to mix and match their outfits Her Goal is to Inspire and Empower women by spreading POSITIVITY in life and career. She had also started vlogging, interviewing successful entrepreneurs sharing stories to motivate aspiring individuals. She has her own belief that “The Bigger the Obstacle, the Greater the Achievement will be” and that keeps her keep moving forward. REPRESENTING MAKATI TO MRS. UNIVERSE PHILIPPINES 2021

In a press conference held in Cavite a few days back where Heaven Penaflorida answered questions from pageant media, being the representative of the City of Makati in the Mrs. Universe Philippines 2021, Heaven answered the questions threw at her intelligently. She said that her life story is "pang MMK" since her story would really inspires the audience. She recalled eating "macopa" for one day survival. She's an adopted and she only knew it a few years ago. She had worked in a call center, real estate , flight attendant until she became a businesswoman.

Heaven has never tried joining beauty pageant before but admits working as a model and did some tv appearances. The first impression of the pageant media that first saw her were all amazed by her beauty and youthfulness. " OMG, hindi siya mukhang pang-misis, pasadong-pasado pa siya sa mga beauty pageant na pang -dalaga," but Dear, she really is a mother . The Mrs. Universe Philippines finals will be on September 10 at Okada Manila (if the situation permits) but we will keep you posted. Right now, Heaven is polishing her pasarella, Q and A and her talent which she said "secret" when asked by the press what would it be.She also has a glam team that helps her look more prettier during the pre-pageant activites of the Mrs. Universe Philippines 2021 specially on the pageant night.
