BUSINESSWOMAN, FASHION ICON, BEAUTY QUEEN , PHILANTHROPIST RUFINA VILLENA -GELSTON IS THE NEWEST MOVIE PRODUCER IN TOWN

BEFORE anything else, thank you so much talent manager and film producer , Lito de Guzman for facilitating this interview and had a photo op with this truly empowered woman, Rufina Villena-Gelston.

Rufina is so lucky because at the very young age, her parents provided her everything. In short, "ipinanganak siya na may gintong kubyertos sa bibig". After she finished her studies, she married a British guy (Gelston) and they work hand in hand inorder to flourished their business that has something to do with cement, sand and gravel, the very essential materials to build a decent house.

Madam Rufina has many friends in the society who introduced her to high fashion and beauty pageants, hence she won in the Noble Queen pageant owned by Patricia Javier and soon, she will represent the Philipines internationally for Mrs. Universe with former That's Entertainment member, Charo Laude as the national director of Mrs. Universe Philippines. Goodluck on you internal pageant, Madam Rufina. So, how Madam Rufina get involved in movie producing.? Well, her friend, the conroversial Aida Patana [hahahaha] introduced her to Lito de Guzman, who manages her twins [the Cebuana Twin) and a Viva artists now.

Madam Rufina started as co-producer in a VMX movie, 69 starring Mhack Morales , Juan Calma, Paula Santos and some few beatiful and sexy newcomers of VMX [ formerly, Vivamax). And don't you know that Madam Rufina is also part of rhe movie, not just as a co-producer but an actress. She played the mother of one of the bida. She confessed that she has no acting workshop and there was no script given to her by the director, Roi Pajemna, hmmm.. it sems that dieek Roi is following Direk Btillanre Mendoza's style, huh?) but she did all her scenes with flying colors. By the way, some of the scenes were film in Madam Rufina's mansion in Singalong, Malate.

Madam Rufina has a very tall and very good looking son, Matt Gelston who was part of the Manila International Fasion Week, and with Lito de Guzman's expertise as a talent manager, arranged a meeting with Matt, Rufina and Aida Patana with the Cebuana Twins, Shiena and Shiela and it seems that Boss Vic sees a good potential with Matt, being star maker. Let's just wait for Matt's stars to align.

Madam Rufina's next film where she will be a solo producer is a movie for Viva, let's just wait for it.

In The fashion world, just a week ago,Madam Rufina did her nice pasarela in the runway at the Premiere Fashion Icon for Ditta Sandico's Four Decades in the Coulture Fashion Industry entitled Quadrova held at the Manila House Private Members Club directed by Raymond Villanueva. Procceds of rhe show go directly to the Livelihood project, health and culrural preservation of the Mangyan Indegenous people in Mindoro. Rufina's brother Dong Villena is the mayor elect of Taysan, Batangas. Congrarulations, Sir Dong!
