PMPC ANNOUNCES NOMINEES FOR THE 38th STAR AWARDS FOR MOVIES

TIMMY BASIL/PR It's all systems go as the Philippine Movie Press Club, Inc. (PMPC) gears up for the 38th Star Awards for Movies to be held in early 2023. Founded in the late 1960s, PMPC is considered to be the pioneering group of entertainment media in the country. It is a professional group of active entertainment columnists, editors, writers, and bloggers/vloggers. The PMPC Star Awards is known for its sophistication and artistry. The 38th Star Awards for Movies is expected to be a rebirth -- of a grand tribute to the local movie industry, the filmmakers, workers, and performers -- as well as for the PMPC for keeping the industry alive and well during those bleak times who championed both mainstream and independently-produced films shown and streamed in 2021. A GRAND PRESSCON FOR "MY FATHER, MY SELF .. OFFICIAL ENTRY TO THE MMFF 2022

BY TIMMY BASIL A grand press conference for the movie "My Father, Myself" starring Jake Cuenca, Dimples Romana, Sean de Guzman and newcomer, Tiffany Grey was held at the posh Versailles tent at the 6th floor of Novotel (near the pool area) and it was attended by known movie writers and vloggers that includes Chad Kinis, Francine Garcia , among others . It was hosted by Kaladkaren and Leo Bukas as moderator.  Unfortunately "My Father, Myself" was rated R-18 by the MTRCB so it will not be show on SM Cinemas on December 25 and beyond but according to one of the producers, Sir Brian Diamante opf Mentorque, the inclusion of My Father, Myself  in the Metro Manila Film Festival may be a blessing of disguise and it will give matured or adult audience a chance to choice the film they want to watch this festival and added that we're still under pandemic and some parents won't allow their children to go to the movies house for fears of the corona virus.  "
